Retiring in the Summer of 2008 and embarking on a Multi-Year Road Trip I wish I'd made decades ago. Having spent nearly 37
years as a letter carrier for Canada Post I'd like to think I've earned the opportunity to be self-indulgent for a change.
After August 28, 2008 someone else is going to have to ensure the office doesn't run out of paper, toner, thumbs and compartment
locks. I can now report that my resignation has been recorded and I`m waiting for the mountain of paperwork to arrive.
I'll be using this site to keep in touch with the folks back home and give you all a chance to keep track of my travels,
see the places I've been and the people I've met.
For the moment this trip is still in the planning stages. I've settled upon a Roadtrek 210 Popular as my means of travel
and I'm making plans for its arrival in July of 2008; I am indeed committed to that vehicle and the order is placed. After
the initial shakedown cruise the plan is to spend the fall in the Maritimes and then wander south to warmer climes. At present
my thoughts centre on over-wintering in Austin, Texas before I wander West and up into Western Canada the following Spring.
